Our Story

LingoLeaf started with a gift.

My wife received a beautiful plant—fresh, healthy, and full of promise. It came with a small care card tucked into the pot. A few short instructions. A vague watering schedule. Nothing unusual.

At first, everything seemed fine.

But a few weeks later, the leaves started to droop. Then yellow. Then fall. We tried Googling, but every answer conflicted with the next. Water more. Water less. Move it closer to the window. Move it away from the window.

By the time we figured out what was wrong, it was too late.

The plant that started LingoLeaf.

What struck me wasn't that the information didn't exist—it was that no one followed up when it mattered most. Once the plant left the store, the support stopped.

That moment stuck with me.

Plants don't usually die because people don't care.
They die because care arrives too late, too generic, or too inconsistently.

I started thinking: What if plants could ask for help when they actually needed it?
Not through another app. Not through notifications people ignore. Just a simple message, at the right time.

That idea became LingoLeaf.

A calm, text-based way to support plants after purchase—when people are busy, distracted, or unsure what to do next. No dashboards. No pressure. Just gentle guidance, delivered in a way people already understand.

LingoLeaf is still early, and it's intentionally simple. It's not about perfection or expertise—it's about follow-through.

Because a little support, at the right moment, can make all the difference.
